“The body attunement series was so healing for me and the timing could not have been better.”
[My biggest takeaway from the series was] I realized that when I eat emotionally, hunger feels different than when I'm actually hungry! So, I also came to the program right after a miscarriage for a very wanted pregnancy that took time and fertility medication to achieve. I thought that I was doing well in healing my relationship with my body. I actually thought I was not having feelings toward my body because of the miscarriage. I had a feeling through most of the pregnancy that something wasn't right, even though I had no outward indication of anything being wrong. But through the Body Respect session, I realized I had some anger and loss of respect in my body that I hadn't been aware of. In the Hunger session, I realized that I had been eating in order to cover up my feelings around it. Both of those realizations were really transforming and I appreciate the chance to have space to have those. ”

When I look in the mirror I feel at home in my body and more beauty and ease than I’ve felt in years.
“I was on my way to HEB to buy and prep for my 3rd round of Whole 30 when I messaged Lucia about counseling. I knew that another diet (and yes, Whole 30 is a diet) wasn’t in line with my values and dreams about what it is to live a free and full life. But I also felt stuck in my overeating-undereating-restricting-binging cycle (even though at the time I didn’t identify it that way) and so I felt desperate to try this new way of living. In the time that I’ve been working with Lucia I’ve had a radical change in my relationship with food and with myself. I’ve learned about where each of my ideas about my food choices originate from and given myself permission to have beautiful and holistic experiences with food everyday.
